Teacher With 160IQ Who Ruled Video Game
This is a story of a 28-year-old Hungarian primary school teacher-polyglot with a 160IQ who became known for his fascination with underage women online.

Introduction
Video game addiction.
A very common phenomenon in my day and age.
Although the word "addiction" may be a bad word, because it doesn't work the same way as heroin addiction, for instance.
No. A much better word would be a "dependency".
A video game dependency.
I have used the Internet regularly since at least 2008, and while I couldn't possibly experience all of it — even if I tried — I have seen the side of people that they never show you without the wall of anonymity protecting them. People simultaneously show you their best and worst qualities — something they rarely do in real life.
I can anecdotally confirm that nearly everybody does this. Vocabulary and mannerisms change slightly, yes, but the fundamental way humans behave across different platforms does not; video games, science forums, language-learning communities, celebrity gossip... human behaviour does not change just because of people's intelligence, interests, or real-life identities and status.
It's difficult to meet someone who doesn't use the Internet these days. Almost everybody does. And almost everybody acts the same way when in front of a computer screen.
I have used the Internet for many purposes — mostly entertainment or education. And because I've used it for over 16 years, I also have had the misfortune of meeting some really nasty individuals.
This post is a case study of a much wider phenomenon that has been observed since at least the 2000s. I don't believe it has ever been explained the way I will — certainly not from the POV of a participant-observer.
What This Post Is About
In this post, I will describe an online user called "Marth."
(His other aliases include: "Marth the Gryphonheart" or "Marth the Gryphonhearted")
Out of dozens of highly toxic, unpleasant, or downright disgusting people I have had the misfortune of meeting, Marth stood out to me the most.
So much so that I deliberately followed his "story" and analyzed his behaviour. He was so unique, and so unlike most of the other "losers" I've met online, that I had to document him and publish my findings.
This is not a grudge post: I do not know the user personally, nor have I any desire to harm or help him. My job here is an objective analysis of his material reality, behaviour patterns, and a conclusion that we can apply to millions of other Internet users worldwide.
The Internet is full of "Marths". This particular Marth is only one example. But his behaviour patterns and motivations have been known across the Internet for decades — formally and informally.
I was genuinely curious about who he is, where he came from, and whether my subjective experiences stemmed from personal incompatibility, or if his appalling behaviour was just his default mode of operation.
This post ended up very long because, it turns out, Marth has left a long trail of virtual "corpses" behind him, and his online activities have been very well documented. Most online trolls come out of nowhere and nobody knows who they are. There's not much to infer from their online activities. The titular school teacher — "Marth" — is different; he has personally documented his online activities from 2011-2026, so there is a gold mine of documentation I can draw from.
Remember: Marth is not actually unique. I will talk about Marth primarily because I am qualified to talk about him better than anyone else. But ultimately, he is just a "case study" — an exaggerated example of what happens to people when constraints are removed, when power feels absolute, and when consequences disappear entirely. A case of online reputation taken to the extreme.
Not all people become Marths. But the recipe — a specific material reality that makes Marths possible — is exceedingly common in this unfortunate world. The result is millions of Marths causing harm to both themselves and others, eternally lost and confused, unable to stop and live a better life.
And lastly, try not to understand the video game I talk about here. You don't need to know what it is. Marth is the protagonist, and the video game I met him in is just background scenery.
Chapter 1: Meeting Marth (2024)
The story of "Marth" (real name: Tóth Márton, born 1998, Hungary) actually begins in 2011 (see Chapter 2), but I only "met" him around 2024, so we shall begin here instead.
Many people online "mistreated" me in the past, but this can be dismissed because online toxicity is a garden-variety experience.
Being mistreated by a primary school teacher-polyglot with a 160IQ? That's absurd.
I joined the game called "Napoleonic Wars", "Minisiege" community, around 2024 and was immediately greeted with Marth's colourful language in-chat, voicing his frustrations at being killed in a multiplayer game centred around killing other players.
I'll say it again: being killed in a game ABOUT killing other players made Marth explode and become frustrated with everyone. His reactions ranged from petty insults, creative racist remarks, or eliminationist language, all the way to persecution campaigns if you did it to him more than once.
On questioning, I quickly discovered that Marth is a self-identified school teacher from Hungary with excellent English skills. The fact that he was 26 at the time and spoke seven different languages was impressive, to say the least.
"Why are you so angry all the time?" I inquired. Why would anyone lose their cool over an ancient video game?
Marth's response was somewhat understandable: He complained to me about "crap pay", being stressed all the time, and seemed eager to convince himself more than anyone else that he is not in fact addicted. His reasoning, "Everyone my age plays video games" may be true, but not everyone his age gets repeatedly banned for hostility.
I told him I understand his position, but his stance was just his rationalization. That he wasn't defending gaming per se, but his unique style of gaming — exploding any time the game did not go his way, using racist and eliminationist language toward perceived enemies, and weaponizing the community's governance systems offensively against people he considers beneath him.
(What I actually said to him at the time was something akin to: "I see where you're coming from, but you are taking it way too seriously than most. You are justifying your anger and not gaming, that's the problem." — Though he didn't see it as a problem)
Wanting to relax after working all day in a job you feel underpays you? Understandable. But booting up your computer immediately on returning home is more than just an innocent hobby. It's self-medication — a cognitive sedative.
I quickly learned that, in truth, Marth's relationship with the game is not what he pretended it was. His entire self-concept was built around the game and how good of a player he was.
This game was more than an innocent hobby.
Killing enemy players? Proof that he is "superior" and they should bow to him.
Being killed by enemy players? Proof that they are "inbred faggots" and deserve to die in real life.
Even before meeting him, Marth's outbursts had earned him a bad reputation in that community. While he had several loyal friends (see Chapter 7), most of the community was hostile to him. Furthermore, Marth received numerous punishments for his actions, but even then it seemed to me like a never-ending loop of daily outbursts, punishment, promises of change, and more outbursts.
What could lead an intelligent language/history professor to become someone like that? "Crap pay" and stress are definitely part of the answer, but I knew there had to be more to it than he let on.
Chapter 2: Marth's Trauma & Bullying
As per Marth's "career video" posted in 2017 (now deleted, available via Wayback Machine), his story begins in 2011 around June/July.
Straight off, Marth begins with a depressing recollection of being on the verge of ending his life due to a lifetime of bullying. He claims that everyone in his life was against him, and the game Mount&Blade saved his life. He devoted his every fibre and all his energy to mastering the game and wanted to make his first human friends there — in a virtual world.
Hence a 13-year-old suicidal teenager finds a reason to live, and treats the game with uncanny seriousness; politics, friendships, conflicts, rivalries, loyalty, etc, etc, which are all the things that exist in our real world and are part of our daily life — for better or worse — became Marth's daily cycle of existence, just inside of his computer, with people he would never see or interact.
His real life was just a thing he endured between satisfying gaming sessions.
Over the years, he became well-known by the community and made many friends — although he also experienced betrayals which he would go on to explain in great depth, treating the subject with great seriousness. He cherished loyalty and friendship, the very things he had never experienced before Mount&Blade.
The fine line between reality and cyberspace was nonexistent for Marth. His virtual life became his real life.
His artefacts are filled with complaints about bullying and grievances against humanity. But I don't think any of this is irrational.
Marth's giftedness notwithstanding, his emotional development most likely arrested around the age 13 — a predictable and well-documented result of extreme bullying and physical violence he experienced. Without a doubt, his environment was excessively hostile and no institution protected Marth and his development. He was abandoned, mistreated, and nearly joined the millions of forgotten teenagers that chose to end their unbearable existence.
Blaming Marth for his circumstances is absurd.
Online, he was safe and respected — a stark contrast to his material reality and "real relationships."
He chose the only world where he mattered: the virtual one.
Marth's self-medication via online video games is what allowed him to continue existing and retain what sanity he had left. Sedation is not an ideal solution, but it is a solution.
Chapter 3: Marth's Self-Concept: Online Achievements
2011-2012 was what we can think of as a "stabilization period" for Marth and his emotional well-being. His material reality did not change, but now he could return home and enjoy his little "oasis" and replenish his strength. The video game became his lifeboat, so to speak.
But his "career post" paints a very revealing picture of Marth and the need he was looking to satisfy.
Let's start from top to bottom.
The grandiosity is total and unselfconscious: "Year 2011: Birth of a Hero", "Year 2013: Invincibility and Immortality." This is not a funny little joke-post. He literally wrote it as his proof of existence.
He lists every clan membership (+30), every clanwar (+350), every made-up world record, every ft7 duel result across six years, every community event he helped organize... This almost reads like a CV for the best job in the world. And the line: "Over 3,000 screenshots of Mount&Blade" as further proof of his competence and superiority.
And crucially, the line that states:
"More than 5000 hours in Mount and Blade: With Fire and Sword and more than 1500 hours in Mount and Blade: Warband"
6,500 hours across five years of his life. That's almost 271 full days (24h x 271) of non-stop gameplay. To put it in perspective, he would have to spend 542 days (12 hours each) doing nothing but playing the game out of the ~1825 days he had available within those five years. Alternatively, he would have to spend 1084 days clocking in 6 hours of gameplay each.
Marth proudly admits that he spends most of his life in front of a computer, chasing virtual records and building his entire self-concept around them.
Then looking at the bottom of his page, he has compiled dozens of carefully curated quotes from other players praising him: "the Legend, a hero nobody can ever be", "The prophet, the God, the best player of WFaS", "You will forever be a hero to me." This is more significant than meets the eye; Marth has literally constructed a monument to himself out of other people's praise and displayed it permanently. The validation he had never had was now there, visible to both friends and "bullies." This is proof he is more than just a pushover.
But the most revealing line about Marth is this:
"To those who actually took the time to read this all, congratulations for making it through an entire history of a man. Also, thank you for devoting some time to learn about someone who fights hard not to end up like 99% of the human race does: unknown and forgotten."
That single sentence reveals EVERYTHING about Marth's psychological make-up.
Everything — his leaderboard obsession (see Chapter 5), the clan building, rage when killed, the quote collection, the grandiose self-titling — is driven by fear. A fear of being nobody. The game is not a hobby, nor is it an addiction; it is his proof of value, existence, and worthiness.
Chapter 4: Marth's Unsatisfactory Material Reality
Let's be brutally honest. The kind of radical honesty someone like Marth will never find, but the only one that can answer the fundamental question:
Who is Marth without his online game?
Forget about his world records, clan memberships, the monument of praise and sycophancy...
When you strip him of all his online achievements and take away his computer, what Marth are you left with?
Well, let's see:
1. Marth who is physically unattractive — self-identified as "nerd", his pictures confirm lack of facial attractiveness.
2. Marth who is emotionally arrested — a 13-year-old teenager stuck in the body of a 28-year-old adult man.
3. Marth who is deeply wounded and traumatized — wounds that are too deep to heal, stunted his empathy, and caused him to write off humanity.
4. Marth who is struggling financially — a 160IQ professor being paid badly, he may or may not even own his own tiny flat in Hungary, let alone afford a decent life.
5. Marth who hates his job — underpaid, overworked, sleep-deprived, likely resentful of his students and colleagues at his workplace.
6. Marth who is lonely — going home to an empty apartment every day. No family, no friends, no social safety net of any kind.
7. Marth who is romantically unsuccessful — tying back to point 1 and 6, Marth has never experienced intimacy and love.
8. Marth who is wasting away — teacher pay in Hungary is a structural issue. Marth is not a failure per se; Hungary failed him. Society should provide someone with Marth's abilities a decent living wage and access to intellectual work. Marth is a victim of injustice, even if society pretends that he is to blame for his failure.
Everything Marth does online — grandiose self-titling, racial insults, "kill yourself" eliminationist language, sexual comments about other people's mothers, systemic manipulation, etc, etc — is downstream from his material reality.
When Marth feels powerless, demeaned, underpaid, lonely, unattractive... punching down is one of the cheapest ways to temporarily restore his emotional equilibrium and a sense of hierarchy. He cannot "punch up" because the Hungarian state and society are invulnerable to his response.
The emotional satisfaction he gets is real, and, for a brief moment, he is the one with power; he is on top of the food chain. But, ultimately, this does not work; his material reality does not improve, and even his online reputation suffers after his every outburst.
The longer it persists, the worse the prognosis.
Chapter 5: Marth's Compensation
1) World-Records Obsession
In 2024, I immediately noticed Marth's obsession with "leaderboard" achievements — the player with the highest number of kills earns a virtual "winner" title and reward. Over the course of 3 months (one leaderboard cycle = 3 months), Marth would do everything in his power to be the top dog in this competition.
And I mean, EVERYTHING.
Marth was an above average player, but even I could defeat him reliably — someone who never tried to "get good at the game", and only ever played it recreationally. Marth compensated by playing non-stop, as much as he could, probably neglecting other areas of his life in favour of this virtual achievement.
Because over the course of weeks and months, a weaker player who clocks in more hours typically ends up with more "points" than a stronger player who spends less time online.
But Marth took it even further.
Notwithstanding his narratives of "improving the community", Marth would import new gameplay maps into the game that gave him and his favourite NPC class a tactical advantage.
Simply put: Marth rigged the game in his favour.
Most people just played the game for fun, then left and forgot about it until their next session. Some very passionate people took the time to create new gameplay maps to improve the community and add flavour to the game.
Marth did neither; he rigged the maps in his favour, used his admin connections to ensure they are approved (see Chapter 7), then constructed an entire narrative about his dedication to the community, as though he is more than just a compulsive player who takes things online a little too seriously.
He designed the environment to guarantee his own success.
Despite being a weaker player, he consistently outshone many stronger players through this trickery. Because for Marth, the leaderboard was never about testing himself, or about friendly competition between other players; it was a public, inarguable, quantifiable ranking where he is "objectively" at the top. No ambiguity, no subjectivity. No one can dismiss his hegemony.
But I saved the most insidious part for last.
Thanks to Marth's political intelligence and useful connections (see Chapter 6 and Chapter 7), he was able to weaponize social power and redirect it against not only those he disliked, but even those who threatened his leaderboard victory; when somebody seemed close to beating Marth in this competition — in spite of all the advantages that Marth had created for himself — Marth would embark on a witch-hunt and redirect the institutional power against them.
He would use his admin connections strategically to ban rivals. This way, he could "prove" that he was a better, more skilled player at the game.
Several users exposed Marth's duplicity publicly, and he was nearly universally hated, but the only people with executive power — admins — were in Marth's pocket.
Thus Marth was able to evade punishment for his own documented actions, while simultaneously removing other players on technicalities. The institutional will was not there when Marth was concerned, but when somebody he did not like made a slip, or threatened to steal his spot in the leaderboard, they would be met with the full weight of the institution and penalized excessively.
So this is where we are now: Marth playing excessively, rigging the environment in his favour, and weaponizing admin connections to remove perceived threats.
The result, in Marth's own words, were 4 consecutive season wins "under his belt." The undeniable proof that he matters, even if his real life contradicts it.
Now let's turn our attention to the next segment.
2) The Need To Be Recognized
In his real life, Marth is underpaid, unrecognized relative to his self-assessed worth, lonely, romantically unsuccessful...
The leaderboard is something he can point to and say, "I matter."
But here's the thing: plenty of skilled players don't broadcast it constantly. They don't care that much.
Marth NEEDS people to know. His skill is something that NEEDS to be witnessed and acknowledged. This explains his Lazarus Order proboard "career post", his personal steam page — another monument to the "hero" he proclaims himself as, — as well as his online YouTube videos.
On "meeting" him in 2024, I immediately noticed his incessant urge to boast about how good he is, how many tournaments he had won, his personal regiments (i.e. "clans" or "guilds",) and most crucially, he would do this EVERY DAY.
His "skill" and "achievements" were not satisfying in and of themselves. They had to recognized by those he decided are "spiders under his boot" and shower him with admiration. Otherwise he would resort to telling them: "kill yourself", etc.
Marth's need for validation is a signature of someone whose entire sense of worth — based on his virtual performance — is unstable and requires constant external validation to hold together. Remove validation, and Marth starts to remember his unsatisfactory material reality.
Hence he DEMANDS to be recognized. Daily. Being recognized once is never enough. Heck, even being recognized ten times will not satisfy him. The admiration needs to flow his way like a river. If the game is his lifeboat, then the admiration is the current that keeps him sailing forward.
When the river stops flowing, Marth screams into the void, demanding the river flow once more.
Marth's boasting is not motivated by competition. It's identity-driven. This is the key to understanding WHY he is so obsessed about the made-up world records, leaderboard rankings, etc, etc. Without them, he is a literal nobody. And that is what terrifies him the most.
Fear of insignificance —> Rage and outbursts —> Emotional satisfaction —> Marth remembers he is a nobody —> Fear of insignificance again.
This also explains why he so proudly announces: "I got X number of people banned." Virtual institutions listen to him not because he is manipulative or charming when he wants to. No. They listen to him because he is always right, and everyone around him are idiots.
Somebody with Marth's cognitive horsepower — 160IQ — is more likely to construct entire narratives to justify every single thing he's done. He is not likely to assess them objectively, because his objective material reality is depressing.
1. Marth insulting other players? — He was just reacting to bullying.
2. Marth raging over the game not going his way? — He was just stressed, and these idiots provoked him before.
3. Marth lying about an event? — He was not lying; everyone else is lying instead.
4. Marth swearing in-chat, making racist comments, etc? — He did not realize the error of his ways. He is "shocked" to read his own comments, and he is now resolved to learn from his mistakes and "change."
5. Marth banned from the game? — He was banned unfairly by biased admins before he befriended them.
6. Marth abuses institutional influence to punish people he dislikes? — He is only trying to benefit his community by removing "toxic" individuals.
7. Marth accused of being a pedophile? — He is not doing anything illegal; "The age of consent in Hungary is 14."
8. Marth accused of being a pedophile for many years? — He is saddened by all these "bullies" spreading false accusations against him.
9. Marth accused of being a pedophile by countless independent parties? — He is amused by all these "idiots" suffering from mental delusions, paranoid thoughts, and obsessive jealousy of him and his virtual achievements.
10. Marth expelled from a community? — He was not expelled; he has already "achieved everything" he wanted to achieve, and is now ready to move on to a different one. It was his personal choice, not a forced retreat.
Marth is a high-intelligence, but low-insight individual. His intellect is channelled towards rationalizations rather than genuine introspection.
And if you don't look at the whole picture, each individual rationalization is internally coherent. The aggregate is what tells us who he actually is. But Marth is more interested in a temporary emotional satisfaction. Stepping back and facing what his pattern of behaviour really means does not serve that purpose. Self-deception is the cornerstone of his mental framework, even if he has a genius-level IQ.
(High IQ does not prevent people from self-deceiving; the mechanism is meant to be invisible to you, so intelligence doesn't automatically protect you)
3) He Learned The Wrong Lesson
Marth almost certainly does not think he is wrong. He has invested too much time and cognitive effort to explain to himself why.
Nothing he does is chaotic. He builds monuments to himself, he exploits social systems, he regulates his behaviour when it benefits him.
He demands recognition unyieldingly. If you refuse, you are either an idiot or a toxic player. You either don't deserve his time, or you deserve to be punished by the admins he befriended.
But here's an observation: In order to know how to manipulate people to his advantage, Marth had to learn it somewhere first.
Marth is not someone who failed to learn. I believe he is somebody who can learn, but has LEARNED THE WRONG LESSON.
The nature of online communities is ephemeral; communities rise and fall. When one community becomes irrelevant, there are hundreds of other communities to choose from. You and your reputation are not permanently tied to one group of people.
Marth has learned that when his reputation renders his presence untenable, he can hop and switch to a different community where he is an unknown, but above average player who is also very intelligent and articulate. In a matter of days, he is able to accumulate social capital and become an "important" member of that new community.
Everything he has done previously? All the negative reputation he worked so hard to attract? Gone.
And it wasn't his fault anyway. They were all idiots. They do not deserve him or his time. He has moved on to a better community — at least until that new community starts hating him too. Then he will hop and switch to another community, and the cycle continues indefinitely.
So the lesson is:
"My behaviour is destructive. I need to change." ❌
"Environments are disposable. My strategy works until people get to know me better. At that point I will find a new environment." ✅
Marth believes himself to be in the right. Until someone he genuinely respects notes the error of his ways, or he suffers real material consequences of his behaviour, Marth's cycle of abuse and community-hopping will continue indefinitely.
Chapter 6: Marth's Political Strategy
The admin friendships reveal something crucial about Marth: he is NOT impulsive. Many online trolls are, but he isn't.
Identifying who holds the power in the community, cultivating relationships with them via voice chat where his intelligence and articulacy would shine, and then leveraging those relationships to gain de facto immunity from consequences?
That's political intelligence.
The same man who "can't control" his rage when losing the game is perfectly capable of being charming and engaging enough to befriend the people who "matter."
It's only those beneath him — the "undesirables" — that "shouldn't even be alive" who never get to see the side of Marth that's charming and pleasant.
Marth's ability to plan long-term is very important for our analysis. An impulsive teenager could be forgiven a mistake or two. An adult who cannot control himself due to trauma or rage is reacting to strong emotions.
A man like Marth is neither; he is cold, calculating, and sees people as two distinct categories:
- The people who matter,
- Everyone beneath him
That's it.
Marth regulates upwards — toward those with power, authority, people who can give him something. He does not regulate downwards — toward ordinary players, people he considers spiders under his boot.
That is a character problem. And it probably maps onto his real life — how he interacts with colleagues (respectful, professional) versus students or junior colleagues (contemptuous, exploitative, sadistic).
I have noticed that Marth's opinions and values — politics, ethics, loyalty, etc — are flexible. He will adjust his opinions and vocabulary to match with whoever holds the most power at the present moment. He will perform loyalty to whoever can give him something.
This flexibility applies to short-term and long-term contexts too; Marth can speak daggers to admins he thinks are biased and unfair, only to wax eloquent about their competence and hard-work when he manages to befriend them two weeks later.
Like I said, this is real-life political intelligence transmuted into online spaces.
When Marth needs someone powerful to aid him — import one of his rigged maps, remove a competitor for the leaderboard title, or punish somebody he holds a grudge against — his instrumental friendships come in mighty handy.
You see, Marth is not just an "admin's sidekick." Initially, yes, maybe. But over the long haul, he is the one who dominates relationships. He is the one who ultimately benefits (see Chapter 7).
What Marth is actually doing is running a kind of systematic patron-client relationship. Temporarily, he runs it from the client position. He gives admins what they want — validation, interesting conversations, and the reflected prestige of associating with someone obviously intelligent and skilled at the game.
In return, Marth receives immunity from consequences and enforcement power.
The admins get the emotional payoff, while Marth gets the structural payoff. Who benefits more is a different matter; both parties benefit, just in different ways.
Power-craving people — admins — enjoy sycophancy. That need is a vulnerability Marth recognizes and exploits. But he is not a true sycophant because he invests flattery strategically to purchase immunity.
That is a transaction if I ever saw one.
Chapter 7: Marth's Institutional Capture
1) Online Communities — Administrators
To understand this chapter properly, you first need to understand HOW a person becomes a moderator/administrator in an online community.
No myths, no sugar-coating, no wishful thinking.
I have only just described that admins are power-hungry, and Marth can manipulate them to achieve his own villainous aims.
But how is it even possible?
Firstly, authority bias: the tendency to blindly trust and obey authority figures regardless of actual evidence.
You can be a nobody and it won't matter; incompetence, untrustworthiness, history of abuse, even evidence against you...
As soon as you are perceived as "authority" — you receive the "admin" badge next to your name online — you'll benefit from the authority bias sooner than you can say "Marth."
Secondly, admins are NOT selected for competency or sense of universal justice.
You just need to be present and willing. That's it.
Online communities disproportionately select for people whose lives are organized around that online space. You don't need qualifications or oversight. You just have to be there.
I'll say it again: you can be the biggest villain in the history of the world and it won't matter. The only thing that matters is: "Can you be online for several hours every day?"
Yes? You can? Okay. Welcome to the club.
Thirdly, the majority of admin applicants tend to be power-craving individuals. The ideal candidate would be altruistic and "give back" to his favourite community. But the ideal candidates are few and far between.
Community owners typically scrape the bottom of the barrel just to keep their space moderated at all. Nobody actually pays their moderators to do it. They are all volunteers.
And because most people don't really care enough to volunteer several hours per day, you are only left with power-craving little tyrants and maybe a handful of genuinely nice people.
The "Minisiege" community? The one where our protagonist embedded himself into its power structures?
Well, that community developed exactly the same way. All online communities face the same dilemmas if they want to remain functional at all.
The majority of the "Minisiege" community admins were people whose real lives don't give them status, money, or respect. Their admin role filled that gap and gave them an illusion of significance. And, to be perfectly honest, they are the online equivalent of the person who peaked as a hall monitor.
The only difference between a hall monitor and online admin is the social cost: hall monitors are a joke, and with good reason. Online admins are anonymous, so they can seek attention and derive their sense of importance from a position that costs nothing socially but feels like power.
No oversight, no appeals, no checks on power. Like lords ruling over subjects who can't complain, vote them out, or raise it with their "superiors."
Of course, people can always leave — and mass exoduses is the typical response to dysfunctional governance. Although that usually takes a very, very long time. Why?
Remember the authority bias I mentioned? Unless the tyrant admin mistreats a significant portion of his community, most of its members will stay and trust that the admin was right. Even allegations against admins are usually not taken seriously by anyone; trusting authority is easier.
Nobody wants this fight.
But when the fight seems inevitable — because the admin begins a systematic targeting of individuals he dislikes — the community scatters. No one cares enough to salvage that virtual world because only its admins attach their self-worth to its success.
2) Online Sycophancy — Flattery Will Get You Everywhere
So, you have a dysfunctional community that works.
Now Marth walks in — articulate, intelligent, charming when he wants to. He is skilled at the game, has a deep voice, and crucially, he treats these admins as important; he validates their existence and authority, and seeks their friendship.
For someone whose entire sense of significance comes from being an administrator in an obscure gaming community, having a 160IQ professor actively cultivate your friendship feels intoxicating.
So when Marth takes off his mask and shows everyone what he is, the moderators are not blind. They can see the evidence. They can spot the inconsistencies and contradictions between Marth's statements and behaviour. They just... don't care.
Holding Marth accountable feels dangerous to them — because it could jeopardize the relationship that is so psychologically valuable to them. If Marth takes offence, the administrators lose the most interesting and flattering friendship they have in that space.
In a dying community, someone like Marth is worth his weight in gold. — Not really, but that's what it feels like to administrators whose emotional needs (e.g. validation, sense of superiority, etc) are not met by anyone else.
Flattery will get you everywhere, and Marth is smart enough to know that.
And to drive the point home, I want to explore the word flattery some more. Because flattery is the core of Marth's strategy.
Many online admins surround themselves with sycophants and form their little courts that make the admin feel like a king. In return, the sycophants receive the warmth reflected by their favourite authority figure.
Most of these yes-men are content with simply hanging around someone "at the top." Hierarchy and proximity to their new "king" feels satisfying to them. The scheme ends here.
Marth blends in with that crowd initially, which is why his strategy works; the admins hold formal authority, but Marth is the one who cannot be punished, who has a personal clan of 400+, who can direct enforcement against his enemies by proxy. And when Marth is finally expelled from the community, he can leave on his own terms while narrating it as a "completed mission."
Arguably, admins are his sycophants by the end of this relationship. They just don't realize it because the flattery keeps flowing, and the formal title still says "admin" next to their name, not Marth's.
My recent observations support this idea exactly; even in 2026, many admins AND ex-admins continue to defend Marth from any and all criticism. Marth officially abandoned the "Minisiege" community two years ago (not really, it was just his narration), but the loyalty his admin friends feel is real and enduring.
You could almost say these admins became his "sidekicks", even if he forgot they ever existed.
Marth's honour and "innocence" are being defended in absentia. All his documented abuse and more mean nothing when compared to the power of friendship.
Friendship that feels real to them, but is instrumental to him.
3) Online Rules — Selective Enforcement
Online institutions can pretend to be professional and select for integrity among its moderators. But when barriers to authority are low and you recruit people with no qualifications, you get a club of tyrants ruling over a disgruntled community that disintegrates bit by bit.
Narratives serve a psychological function FOR the tyrants, not to broadcast the truth:
"Our administrators dedicate their time to maintain good space in our community"
— a narrative that is meant to stroke the admins' egos, not describe how a particular community is actually run.
This is very important; if you ever chose to study online communities, you would see walls of text explaining the rules that its members must always obey, and the codes of conduct for its "guardians", i.e. administrators.
But rules are schmules.
There are the people who matter, and those who don't. The rules exist only to constrain those who don't. Period.
Very few communities enforce their rules fairly. They are anomalies in the sea of power-hunger and real-life inadequacy.
The key takeaway from the chapter is this: Marth DID NOT create the dysfunction. The dysfunction was already there when he joined in 2023-2024.
Marth merely identified a classic pattern; a community where power is concentrated, no checks, no recourse for subjects... Run by whoever showed up first and wanted power most.
He identified an existing system that was already optimized for exploitation by someone like him and moved in. If it wasn't him, it would eventually be someone else running a similar playbook.
For me, it isn't surprising that tyranny emerged; I would be surprised if it didn't.
Chapter 8: Marth's Relationships
You do not have a relationship with Marth. You are either:
- Someone powerful he can orbit
- Someone useful who becomes his sidekick,
- An inbred cunt whose mother sucks Marth's dick. Oh, and you also don't deserve to be alive. So fuck off and kill yourself.
There is no other possibility. Marth is not interested in, nor can he tolerate, any other type of relationship.
And this goes for friendships as well as romantic partnerships.
Even if his facial attractiveness wasn't an issue, he would be unlikely to have a romantic relationship that lasts or can satisfy him. He would dominate, abuse, and then be forced to abandon the relationship in favour of another one. The cycle of domination, abuse, and retreat would remain unbroken for the rest of his life.
I will expound on his "romantic relationships" soon (see Chapter 12).
From his POV, there are only those who are useful allies, those who serve him, and everyone beneath him. His behaviour has never demonstrated an ability to form, nor a desire to have, any other type of relationship with others.
We can extrapolate that onto his real-life relationships.
As a primary school teacher, he undoubtedly perceives his students as "spiders under his boot" unless they are somehow exceptional and can reflect well on him. Not because he did something to nourish their academic performance — he has never done anything for anyone he considers beneath him. But if they happen to thrive in spite of him, he will quickly insist that, actually, he was helping them all along, and thus his students' success is also his success.
(Basking in reflected glory is another one of Marth's bad habits, and it is as pitiful as it is deplorable)
I bring this up because he mentioned that exact thing in one of the conversations I had with him in 2024; four or five of "his" students did okay in some unremarkable competition — the details elude me, — and he couldn't resist the urge to proclaim it to everyone, whether they wanted to hear it or not.
A rare glimpse into the mind of a man whose entire self-concept is built around the virtual life he has lived for over 15 years.
Everything about Marth — including his attitude toward other people — translates into his real life. And I know I have said previously that his real life is just something he endures between satisfying gaming sessions. That little detail notwithstanding, it is clear that he WANTS his material reality to improve, because if he didn't, he would absolutely never talk about his students or their academic successes.
Successes that were so tiny, in fact, he had to stretch the definition of the word "success" to its absolute limits. This is how DESPERATE he is for real-life recognition, even if his online behaviour suggests he has fully given up.
Perhaps his attitude toward other people is what makes his material reality so unsatisfying? Extrapolating his instrumental views on relationships online onto his lived reality, I would not be surprised if he was just as insufferable at the school he teaches or among potential friends and companions.
That doesn't take away from his trauma, nor does it invalidate his horrific experiences as a bullied, abandoned teenager. But as a fully-grown adult with superior intellect and agency, he most likely chooses not to treat people with the respect they deserve and refuses to collaborate when it would otherwise make sense to him.
Because even from a utilitarian point of view, his attitude to human relationships is self-defeating at best, and actively self-destructive at worst.
Basking in reflected glory restores emotional equilibrium, but unless you helped someone achieve their "glory", you can never hope to enjoy the fruits of their success. Being in the vicinity — what Marth does as a school teacher — is not enough.
But for someone like Marth, who only seeks to gain short-term emotional satisfaction, this self-delusion does exactly what it was always meant to do.
Now, I admit I know next to nothing about how exactly he treats his colleagues and students. I have not observed his behaviour personally, so extrapolation is the best I can do. All I know for sure is that he is a loner who goes home to an empty apartment. He is not involved in the lives of his students or fellow teachers.
Furthermore, I refuse to believe he is any different with regard to his abusive character outside of his virtual fiefdom; the only difference is that his flaws prevent him from accumulating power outside of it. We know from his documented abuse and behaviour that, when constraints are removed, and when he is shielded from consequences by powerful individuals or institutions, he abuses his power wantonly, ecstatically, and unselfconsciously.
Add to that the concerning pedophilia allegations (see Chapter 12,) and you see the risks having someone like Marth in a position of power poses. It's a slippery slope from blackmailing nude photographs out of teenagers online toward real-life harm when shielded by a powerful educational institution.
Chapter 9: Marth's Spitefulness
If I had to describe Marth in one word, it would be: malevolent.
I've touched on that in Chapter 4 and Chapter 5, but I reckoned it deserved its own chapter.
Displaced aggression is a common response to frustration. Humans who cannot retaliate against the source of their frustration typically redirect it against someone weaker, or safer, in order to relieve stress.
Marth cannot attack the Hungarian state, society, or the people that bullied him at 13 and physically assaulted him. Predictably, he redirected his frustrations onto people he met online, thus relieving his stress consequence-free and achieving emotional equilibrium.
Now remember that Marth is stuck in an unsatisfactory material reality, and is furthermore traumatized beyond healing. That is an infinite source of frustration that needs constant draining.
Even something minor — like getting killed in an online video game ABOUT killing other players — can trigger his aggression. Defeating Marth in the game inside his computer is a neutral act, but for Marth who is already chronically frustrated, it seems like a perfectly valid reason to spit a torrent of abuse.
Marth's malevolence isn't entirely rational; he responds automatically to the bottled-up emotions he had to contain throughout the day — when he was at his school, working — until he boots up his computer and becomes the lord of his virtual fiefdom.
He almost certainly thinks his pupils and colleagues are idiots. But saying that to their face would be materially catastrophic for Marth.
Displacing his aggression toward people online? Materially safe and emotionally satisfying.
But his malevolence goes even further than simple racism or jokes about extermination.
Marth has been described by many independent parties as somebody who weaponizes online institutions — administrators, rules, etc — to punish those he perceives as "unworthy" or "toxic."
Upon reviewing every documented case of Marth and his formal complaints online, I concluded his allegations are exaggerated, fake, and the evidence is flimsy — when and if he presents any.
Marth does not rely on truth or arguments to punish online rivals; he relies on his social capital with those who wield executive power in the online space. Furthermore, he does not rely on evidence to strengthen his cases; he knows the institutional will is in his favour, and thus preserving evidence is unnecessary in his view.
And in most cases, he has been proven right (see Primary Sources PDF).
Chapter 10.1: Marth's Official Complaints: 2024
I only witnessed his behaviour across 2024. However, even just ONE YEAR out of fifteen total years of his online activity paints a very disappointing picture.
If his pattern of behaviour maps onto the rest of his time online — and the evidence strongly suggests that is the case — then we come to a very unoptimistic realization that this man is also responsible for raising future generations, and his influence can be anything but positive.
Enough said. Cutting straight to the chase.
In just 2024, Marth was involved in 7 (!) formal complaints by OR against him.
The number of official complaints should give you pause; this is because, for a small community (approx. 1,000—2,000 regular players), 7 official complaints is HUGE. The vast, vast majority of online players DO NOT bother registering on online forums, or doing anything outside of the games they play. Almost nobody — 99% — will EVER go to the trouble of writing up an official-looking complaint against a virtual player that has mistreated them. Most people just play whatever game they play and do nothing else. If they feel mistreated by someone like Marth, they either ignore it, or abandon the game completely.
So the fact Marth received numerous complaints from unrelated players? A very telling signal.
I was there. I saw it in real time. Marth's behaviour was not what you would expect from a 160IQ professor. Almost everyone hated him. Not a day passed that he didn't get into a fight with somebody and ruin their fun.
Presumably, Marth spent 2023 forming social alliances with other players. By January 2024, he had a group of loyal friends as well as enemies. That's when I met him.
Case #1
On 30th December 2023, Marth made a complaint against another player he had a personal vendetta with. In the sources, I refer to that player as "Sarissa."
The allegation involved one instance of intentional friendly-fire, and a claim of more than that in the past. He demanded a permanent removal of this player from the server.
The player "Sarissa" was well-known and generally well-regarded in the community, often described as friendly and fun to hang out with. Their forum post asking for a second chance was refused, despite popular support. Marth, on the other hand, can be seen as the only one "demanding Draconian measures", despite his overwhelmingly bad reputation in the community for his hostile behaviour.
In the end, the player Sarissa was removed from the game for getting into a local fight with Marth, while Marth continued to behave aggressively toward everyone he disliked with impunity.
At the time, I believe Marth's friendships with the administrators were mere rumours, dismissed by the same admins and Marth as "conspiracy theories," a ready-to-deploy narrative against anyone criticizing the governance system.
(I found it very interesting how normal people reacted by justifying themselves and responding to the narrative, unable to see through this smoke-and-mirrors game. They should have either not engaged, or left the failing community altogether. By taking Marth's narratives too seriously, they failed to read the room correctly and let him play them like a violin)
At any rate, a well-regarded player was removed over a single incident, while Marth continued to display his well-documented and well-known hostile behaviour on a daily basis after work and was not even reprimanded.
Case #2
On 12th January 2024, another player — later confirmed to be Marth's friend — made a complaint against "Kaiser", or "The Craft." The allegations concern hostility and insults.
Marth became an active participant in the efforts to punish the player and argued the case against him incessantly, volunteering to provide "proof" and demanding "justice."
The allegations were proven later, which discredits "Kaiser". However, there are things he said we know are true because they were proven with evidence.
"Kaiser" posted a 7-chapter "manifesto" in which he complains about Marth's behaviour, including lies and trickery — basically everything I've described up until now — meaning that Marth's behaviour was exceedingly well-know by then. He further proved that Napoleon — the plaintiff — had engaged in hostility and insulting behaviour himself. "Kaiser" then goes on to point out that Napoleon had already been banned previously for that same behaviour, and was repeating it after being given a second chance at the time of writing. Lastly, he notes that Marth had been manipulating the administration to remove people he dislikes and "diagnoses" Marth with narcissistic tendencies.
"Kaiser" ended up punished, but admittedly, he managed to prove time and again that many claims against him were completely false, thus discrediting Marth and his friend. Furthermore, Marth and Napoleon provided no evidence and relied on narratives.
It did not discredit Marth in the eyes of the administration — he had already befriended them, — but regular people took notice and Marth's overall community reputation slipped.
Case #3
On 15th February 2024, "Frost" makes an official complaint against Marth. He alleges that Marth had been using racist insults etc since the day he joined — again, basically everything I have been saying about Marth throughout this post.
Frost points out that Marth tries to ban people for the exact same behaviour he himself displays. The irony washes over Marth who dismisses it and clearly expects to get away with it; according to complaints — not just this one, but countless others — he had been getting away with his behaviour for over half a year by that point. His arrogance, make of that what you will, was not irrational; it was based on an established pattern of Marth offending and being left alone.
However, Marth's luck seemed to have run out; he had been muted from the chat "permanently", and the admin handing down the sentence supplied evidence (see PDF) of his behaviour.
Whether or not this punishment affected Marth is debatable; he was not muted from the forums, he was able to communicate/insult over external platforms ("Discord" to be specific,) and his main source of joy and motivation — being able to play the game and earn his virtual achievements — was not constricted.
Thus Marth was "permanently" muted on 18th March 2024.
Case #4
On 4th April 2024, which was 17 days following his punishment, Marth opened an appeal thread, asking that the mute be lifted.
Whether or not Marth took it seriously is genuinely uncertain:
He immediately positions himself as the reasonable, self-aware penitent. He says seeing the evidence against him was a "shocking reality check", claiming he didn't realize how bad it was — which contradicts his own in-game statements, such as "and what if I am toxic (...) I will kill you irl." (2 January 2024)
Marth goes on to "apologize". I quote:
"I hereby apologize to every single person I have ever said anything negative about, ever insulted, ever threatened, ever made their day worse with my words. I meant absolutely no harm to anyone, yet I am truly sorry if harm is what I have caused."
The apology means nothing — and costs nothing — because it's directed at no one specifically. It's a grandiose blanket statement. And after "apologizing," he blames the same people he had just apologized to, claiming that his toxic and racist comments were mostly "reactions" to other people and their provocations.
Marth frames himself as a victim of bullying whose only crime was "reacting badly," when the admin logs showed him initiating abuse against players who simply killed him in-game. He then mentions his "map contributions" — the same "I bring value" argument specifically identified as corrupt logic by "Frost" in 3) on 15th February 2024.
But I saved the best for last:
The poem.
Marth ends off his appeal with a literal poem.
His intention was, undoubtedly, to amuse. Even a visiting admin, "Supereagle", confirms that Marth is entertaining and known for "his Chat GPT poems." Supereagle then goes on to vouch for him and recommend clemency for Marth.
The institutional response?
Marth is unmuted the same day by a head admin. The same head admin who 17 days earlier documented "countless server rule breaching" and posted pages of abuse logs.
"You will be given a second chance, please don't waste it." — Bethezen, Head Admin, 4th April 2024
No probationary period, no conditions, no monitoring. Supereagle approves, Reggie welcomes him back warmly.
Three administrators. All happy to have Marth back.
His "permanent" mute lasted exactly 17 days.
Case #5
On 24th July 2024, Marth opened another ban request against "Polish_Master_Race" for friendly-fire, racism and extremism, as well as cyberbullying. He admits he has no evidence, but points to "server logs", confident they will confirm the allegations.
The defendant counters the allegations, alleging that Marth "laughed at Polish concentration camps" five minutes before opening the formal complaint against him for the same behaviour, accusing him of hypocrisy. Additionally, the defendant seems to deny the claims of racism — because he says in #16: "I make no admissions," admitting only to an "accidental teamkill" in #3.
Marth is dismissive throughout, but provides no evidence, relying mostly on well-written missives and narratives, such as "everybody knows I am telling the truth," or "everybody knows the defendant is racist," etc. Several community members oppose Marth, but some also side with him.
The head admin that previously unmuted Marth — Bethrezen — promises to check the logs for evidence, but never does so. In the end, the request is accepted by another admin, Sam, who provides no logs as evidence, approving the ban "in light of another case here on the forum" on 30th August 2024.
The case we will consider next.
Case #6
On 22nd August 2024, the defendant of the previous case, "Polish_Master_Race", made a formal complaint against Marth, 1 month after Marth had made his.
The plaintiff accuses Marth of "the same things he has been doing ever since he got unmuted in April," namely eliminationist language and hostility. Furthermore, he points to specific dates — immediately after Marth's unban, as well as 24th July-4th August — and insists that the logs from these will show that Marth was "exceedingly toxic," and brings up an allegation wherein Marth laughed at the Auschwitz concentration camp, although it is unknown whether or not it is the same allegation as the one he had made in 5) where he accused Marth of laughing at "Polish concentration camps."
At any rate, this thread highlights that Marth's behaviour did not improve post-4th April when his mute was lifted. Marth had promised to change, expressed his "shock" at his own behaviour, wrote an amusing poem for the admins, then resumed his pre-punishment conduct.
I've noticed that the exchange between Marth and the plaintiff was reduced to a hostage exchange — Marth promises to drop his ban request only if the plaintiff drops his. Notably, Marth does so from a position of power, painting himself as the victim once more, claiming that the plaintiff "pesters" and "harasses" him and "everyone else", but is willing to be the reasonable one and reconcile with him in spite of everything.
The admin's attitude — nickname "~Sam" — oscillates between professional and openly antagonistic toward the plaintiff, e.g. "Would you actually want Marth to win this, Polish guy? Lol"
In the end, ~Sam bans the plaintiff, expressing his personal dislike for him, but supplies no evidence in the form of logs, or gives any specific reasons why he is "gone from this community" on 30th August 2024.
The cases #5 and #6 reward Marth's complaint while punishing the person complaining about him; the administrators never confirmed nor denied the allegations against Marth, and they also did not confirm or deny the allegations against "Polish_Master_Race".
Knowing what we know about Marth, based on other independent parties and proof that exists outside of the "Minisiege" community, I can say, with full confidence, that this is a case of Marth wielding social alliances and institutional power against the people he dislikes, while his own behaviour is actively ignored.
Not excused. Not downplayed.
Ignored (!)
Case #7
On 2nd September 2024, a player "Ginga" opens his own formal complaint against Marth.
"This player is a ticking time bomb", he begins, "frequently lashing out at others who simply engage in the game and defeat him." The complaint goes on, "He throws around venomous comments", or "targeting players he believes are from Turkey."
Furthermore, "Ginga" notes that Marth "tries to get others banned for the very behavior he exhibits, showing his double-edged nature" — a pattern we have already seen in the previous cases; Ginga is reinventing the wheel, merely repeating what many had already alleged before him.
Marth's response — a five-point summary of why the complaint is meritless — is also a perfect five-point summary of his ENTIRE operating system.
Point 1 — "Please learn to spell my name correctly" — the grandiosity reflex documented in real-time. Marth NEEDS to assert his status even in a complaint thread about his behaviour.
Point 2 — "The behaviour you're talking about was stopped by me ever since I got unmuted" — a direct lie. ~Sam posted his logs four days later, directly contradicting him.
Point 3 — "I'm not even active on Minisiege now, I wanted to have 4 season wins under my belt, now I have it I can safely retire" — this is the "I achieved everything I wanted to achieve" narrative I mentioned earlier in Chapter 5; Marth is preemptively framing his departure as voluntary completion rather than community expulsion.
Point 4 — "I have gotten two people banned so far and both were justified" — Marth is proud of successfully weaponizing the forum system. He is boasting about it in a thread made against him.
Point 5 — "I've made Minisiege a way better place already with adding new maps and getting rid of people who were bad for the community (...) you refuse to show us who you are, so why should I even care about this?" — the "contribution" narrative, and the grandiose "why should I even care about you" dismissal. He frames his rigged maps as gameplay contribution, then frames his targeted complaints as community service; his "new maps" were universally criticized as rigged on the forum and in-game across 2024, and his "getting rid of people" is Marth's own description of the forum weaponization that Frost, Kaiser, Sarissa, and Pulkownik all documented independently.
The handling of this case is very interesting.
~Sam initially marks it "pending." Marth makes a sarcastic joke about it: "Keep an eye on me Sam, maybe one day you'll find me writing a 'yo mama' joke so I can get banned for it." Marth's familiarity and arrogance are crystal clear; he fully expects ~Sam to close the thread without investigation, just like he did 3 days earlier. ~Sam closes the thread and says, "closed in the meanwhile (other threads were an ass to read)" — he seems ready to close it.
But then, ~Sam actually approves the complaint and "mutes" Marth.
However:
1) Sam preambles his decision with patronizing remarks, platitudes, empty promises, and meaningless calls to action.
2) Sam admits he had considered NOT posting the logs publicly; he did so only because of, quote, "NWP code of justice" — presumably a code of conduct for admins such as him. He CONSIDERED helping out Marth, but at that point he faced a structural limitation that he could not circumvent. Sending the chat logs to Marth via private message would prevent a proper documentation of the incident, and the fact Sam considered doing that speaks of his unprincipled character and lack of integrity as an administrator.
3) Sam's language is the biggest tell: "The player in question will now be muted until the administration considers him aware and rehabilitated" — NOT permanent. Conditional (!) The door is left open again.
My observation about admins defending Marth informally on Discord channels and in-game, coupled with Sam's reluctantly-handed conditional punishment, is the final structural confirmation. The proof of everything I've talked about in Chapters 6 and 7.
The institution never fully turned against Marth (!)
Even after two mutes, after pages of documented abuse, after independent complaints from Frost, Kaiser, Mahtipallo, Sarissa, Pulkownik, Vapuro, and Ginga, the admin layer still considers him one of their own.
And it's not just that they protect him from consequences. It's worse.
Admins genuinely like him. His strategic charm worked.
The relationship feels real to them, even if it is instrumental to him.
This is the admin capture I described in Chapter 7: Amusing Chat GPT poems, flattery, credentialed background, and strategic sycophancy — all traded for institutional good-will, sympathy, and immunity from consequences.
Case #8
On 7th September 2024, another complaint against Marth was posted.
Just one day after Marth's second mute...
Because he had been unable to talk using the in-game chat, he took his hostility to the associated Discord server. Vapuro provides unambiguous evidence against Marth; Marth continues to be abusive, continues his "voluntary exit" narratives, and remains unrepentant, framing himself as a victim of injustice.
Bethrezen — the head admin who muted Marth the first time, and later refused to investigate his complaints — proves the institutional capture from Chapter 7.
"We'll keep an eye on the player (...) we'll consider this reaction as something temporary, caused to the perceived injustice he believes it was caused to him (...) Thank you for your report" — Bethrezen sees the evidence, acknowledges it, but frames it as "temporary".
The complaint is thrown out.
Year 2024 Conclusion — Eight Public Cases
This is not a failure of evidence — the evidence was there.
The institutional will is what failed. And no amount of evidence could change that.
The admins who are his friends have made a choice to value their friendship with Marth over the well-being of the community.
The seven complaints against Marth, with hundreds of logs, and with numerous witnesses, resulted in a temporary slap on the wrist.
At the time of writing (March/April 2026), Marth is STILL active in the "Minisiege" community. I visited the server especially to gather evidence and testimonies, and sure enough, Marth is playing there regularly and has regained his access to the in-game chat — presumably shortly after the sham punishment by Sam on 6th September 2024.
What you saw is not unusual in online communities; this is the pattern of EVERY petty tyrant in EVERY small community. The majority sees him for who he is, but it doesn't matter, because Marth has captured the enforcement mechanism.
And the polarized reception? That too is universal; a small loyal in-group who form Marth's little court and enjoy the warmth that radiates from him, a large majority who range from mocking to hostile, and a power structure that shields him from accountability.
Another thing I'd like to mention is what I will call "Marth's joke status."
The "Minisiege" community STILL considers him a joke — he has become a sort of folklore character, testament to Marth's impact and reputation. Admittedly, his actions — my #1 - #8 particulars — were instrumental to entering folklore. But when his 2011-2022 reputation caught up with him around mid-2024, Marth's hopes of forgiveness were crushed.
The community could not remove him from power. The "joke" status became the community's coping mechanism; because when you can't reach a powerful figure, mocking them is your only available response.
But Marth almost certainly does not process the mockery in a way a psychologically healthy person would. Either the mockery genuinely does not register because his admin friendships and clan leadership feel more real to him than the opinion of people he considers beneath him, OR it does register, but it feeds his rage cycles further. Given what we've seen from Marth's accusers and the man himself, it is probably both, depending on the day.
One day, he dismisses underage-girls claims against him. The next, he rages at his accusers and uses creative insults to attack them.
The result is that the "Minisiege" community dispersed. Naturally, there were many petty tyrants pre-2024 and pre-Marth, but this kind of personality is exactly the thing that kills otherwise strong communities. The fact the community still exists? Even if only as a skeleton community?
That is despite people like Marth, not thanks to them.
Although at one point, the community COULD HAVE failed.
Sometime in 2024, Marth tried to become "Minisiege" admin before the complaints against him started to pour in. But if Marth managed to join the admin team, I think the community would have collapsed; the players would leave in droves, the server would lose its donors, the server would shut down, and the story would be lost forever.
And you can be sure that many communities died exactly like that. Because of people like Marth.
Marth's failure to formally become one of the admins might be the only difference between "Minisiege" still existing on life support and not existing at all.
Chapter 10.2: Marth's Official Complaints; Conspiracies
This, unfortunately, comes from my personal knowledge. A single message from another player — "SlSteve" — is my only proof to support it.
EVIDENCE — Click To See
Around July-August 2024, the administration had what you could call a "civil war"; there were internal strifes between the admin "~Sam" and "SlSteve". I do not remember if anyone else was also involved.
Marth and SlSteve were very good friends, so when SlSteve posted an official ban thread against ~Sam for abusing his powers, insulting SlSteve and his mother, and spreading personal information online, Marth took it upon himself to voice his frustration and called for punishment against ~Sam.
While the complaint was under investigation, ~Sam was also reported to have publicly provided widely-circulating evidence against Marth with regards to his pedophilia allegations. Marth's narrative — the "he is spreading my personal information" narrative — did not work. Marth lost control of what information was available to the public.
Incidentally, Marth and ~Sam actually reconciled in the middle of August, at least on the surface. The conflict over "my personal information" had ended, and the two of them acted civil to each other and played together. The animosity ended, Sam deleted the thread against himself, and banned the plaintiff — "SlSteve", his fellow admin — from the community forum.
It was around that time when Marth's complaint against "Pulkownik" was ongoing — the #5 and #6 complaints.
As noted previously, Sam completely refused to investigate either of them, was openly antagonistic toward Marth's rival, and ended up banning him while providing no evidence whatsoever.
I named this chapter "conspiracies," because whatever happened behind the scenes, it led Sam to side with Marth even after he had maliciously banned Marth from the community Discord simply for siding with SlSteve in the admin complaint thread against himself.
What happened exactly is anyone's guess. Extrapolating from Marth's past conduct, we can assume it was a hostage exchange similar to Marth-Pulkownik exchange from August that year; perhaps Marth agreed to drop his complaint against Sam if he agreed to sabotage the complaint against Marth? Or perhaps the two got on like houses on fire and enjoyed the power trip?
Only the duo knows the truth. And I don't think they would let me interview them.
Then the fallout happened.
After Marth's second mute on 6th September 2024, he was seen accusing Sam of being biased the next day over the community's Discord channel. Needless to say, the Marth-Sam friendship fell apart.
So let's go over it in order:
- Marth complained about Sam for being abusive when targeting his friend.
- Marth had no problem with Sam abusing his admin powers when he did it against someone Marth disliked. That was fine and dandy.
- When Sam turned on Marth again, he was "the abusive admin" once more.
The pattern tells us plenty about Marth's character; he has no principles or values, and personal loyalty is the only thing he holds close to his heart — although his loyalty hinges on a perceived self-interest. Be useful, and you are his friend. Be unuseful, and you are toxic/abusive/evil.
So to summarize, this is what we know certainly happened:
- SlSteve and Marth complain about Sam,
- Sam bullies both of them, abusing his admin powers,
- Marth-Sam hostilities cease (?),
- Marth approves of Sam and his work. His earlier complaints about Sam are deleted,
- Sam bullies Marth's rival, abusing his admin powers once more,
- Marth celebrates as his rival gets banned,
- More and more complaints about Marth pour in,
- Sam reluctantly passes down a token punishment on Marth,
- Marth explodes, accusing Sam of being an "abusive admin" on Minisiege Discord.
I have no idea what happened next; Marth temporarily left the community to focus on leading his "personal army of 200 players," and he wouldn't return until much later. He was reported to have successfully become an admin in a different "Napoleonic Wars" community until his reputation caught up with him and he was expelled from it as well.
He was seen playing across 2025, and as noted previously, I visited the server in March/April 2026 and saw Marth in the flesh. — So he faced zero consequences for his behaviour, although he rarely visits the "Minisiege" server, from what I'm told.
I do not know Marth personally, but I know that: a) he is still alive, b) he still teaches at a school, c) he has not changed his ways, d) he continues to community-hop and charm the executive-power holders and wield power by proxy, e) when his reputation catches up with him, he narrates a "completed mission" and finds another community.
The nature of Marth's actions — and the skeletons in his closet, including his reputation for blackmailing nude pictures out of minors — means he is always "on the run," and must proactively manufacture fresh narratives against perceived rivals.
The fact that this "conspiracy" took place is unsurprising; Marth was flying very close to the Sun, and he needed admin alliances so he wouldn't be permanently removed from the server.
Chapter 10.3: Marth's Official Complaints: Pre-2024 Track Record
Everything we saw in 2024 — every case of weaponizing institutions to destroy his rivals online, underhanded tactics, building alliances, conspiracies, etc — is a pattern that was already established from 2011-2017. It's been the fundamental pattern since the beginning.
As per Marth's own "career post", written across 2011-2017, Marth BOASTS about doing that exact same thing — namely destroying his rivals' infrastructure:
a) The Avenger takeover in March 2013 — he infiltrated that clan's TeamSpeak, banned all members 20 minutes before their clanwar, and describes it as "the honours are all mine", and "it felt so good."
b) He replicated this exact same pattern in January 2017 with SoH: "Taking over SoH server due to the members constantly bullying me. It felt just like on March 10 2013 when I was destroying Avenger."
Not only is he repeating the behaviour, but actually referencing it in his "career" post with gleeful satisfaction. The destruction of other people's communities? That is something to be proud of.
And something he has been doing consistently across his 15 years online.
Also, I've noticed that he repeatedly constructs justifications for his actions: "bullies, bullies everywhere." Or: "The ever increasing amount of bullies," and: "Members constantly bullying me."
Marth frames EVERY conflict as persecution. EVERY departure is someone else's fault. And EVERY time he takes over and destroys his rivals' infrastructure, it is justified retaliation.
The trajectory from 2011-2024 is unbroken and consistent. Marth has always been like that. The only thing that changed is Marth's experience in manipulating people, and the fact he now has a reputation that follows him.
(Although by the time his reputation catches up with him, and his communities attempt to expel him or punish his behaviour, he is already entrenched)
Chapter 11: Marth's Self-Congratulation & Self-Deception
Before I get to the juicy stuff, I want to mention something critical:
Marth flatters and lies to himself to protect his ego.
His behaviour is too self-serving to be an accident. He only ever has something good to say about himself, and his every failure and expulsion are always some other idiot's fault.
Every single thing he ever wrote, his chat messages, his narratives — it's all self-congratulation.
He simply refuses to face what the evidence has to say about him because the truth is inconvenient and contradicts his self-image. So he self-deceives; he is always the victim, admins who don't side with him are automatically abusive, anyone he dislikes is objectively evil, evidence of his bad behaviour is fabricated...
He has successfully convinced himself that he is innocent and infallible.
That pattern remains consistent from 2011 to 2026.
At the same time, Marth IS self-aware!
"Celebrating 7 Years in Mount&Blade" video from June 2018 proves this beyond any doubt.
The video is over 90 minutes long, so here's the short version:
In the video, Marth expresses that, if someone gave him the choice, he would trade his virtual "fame" for all the real-life experiences he had missed out on, namely relationships, going to parties, etc. However, he insists that his "path" was chosen for him by society; he did not choose his life. He just did the best with what he was given.
And honestly? This might be the most important thing he has ever said publicly.
He would trade ALL OF IT: his leaderboard rankings, his clan empires, his "legend" status, the quote collection, the Lazarus Order career post... He would give all of it in exchange for normal friendships and experiences.
He knows. He has always known.
Everything I have spent countless hours analyzing — his grandiosity, dominance, rage, manipulation — is a substitute for the life he actually wanted and didn't get. And he called it a substitute, on camera, in 2018.
Marth is NOT somebody who is fulfilled by his online achievements. His voice was laced with pain, strained with suppressed emotion.
The monument he had spent the last 7 years building... was built over a grave.
AND THEN he shuts down the introspection, and self-deception takes over.
Marth blames society and bullies for everything. And because his "path" was chosen for him, nothing matters now. His life and behaviour are no longer his responsibility.
The manipulation, toxicity, predatory relationships? These aren't choices he made. Society chose it for him, and he is not an agent in his own story. He is just a victim who made the best of his victimhood.
This framing allows him to make sense of his suffering and give it a higher purpose. It simultaneously justifies inaction and bad behaviour — and keeps him stuck in the cage he can see, feel, and articulate clearly and movingly.
Marth doesn't lack self-awareness (!) His self-deception exists precisely to suppress it — because the truth hurts, and the "hero" and "victim" narratives temporarily make him feel better.
Another thing he mentioned: fame.
Marth's "fame" attracted critics and haters; he is gracious enough to recommend that we never become famous ourselves because it is "hard on his soul" when bullies harass and terrorize him out of jealousy.
And this is where the loop closes, and why I think Marth is destined for a life online.
Because if everything critical you say to Marth gets reframed as "bullying" or "jealousy" of his fame, then nothing can get to him.
The more people criticize him, the more famous he must be. The more ban requests come his way, the more hated he must be by idiots. The more logs of his bad behaviour come through, the more desperate these assholes must be to slam him on a technicality.
This is why all this criticism didn't change anything. Marth metabolized all of it as evidence of his own success.
Criticism only reinforces his delusions.
Chapter 12: Marth's Pedophilia Allegations
1) Marth (19)-Anna (14) Relationship
Marth's signature is his e-relationship with an underage girl.
As per Marth's own confession in his Lazarus Order proboard "career post", on June 5th 2017 he met a 14-year-old German woman called "Anna."
"Finally finding the love and happiness I have been seeking for forever" — Marth's own words.
Marth, born in 1998, would have been 19 years old at the time.
This relationship was public and widely known in the communities Marth was a part of at that time.

Marth and "Anna" slideshow
Unsurprisingly, this wasn't exactly... looked favourably upon, let's just say that.
Marth never denied the relationship in the coming years. Instead, he would come up with various post-hoc rationalizations to justify — probably to himself — why there was nothing wrong about what he did.
For example:
"The age of consent in Hungary is 14" — Marth implies that legal acts are ethical by definition, i.e. "Appeal to Law" fallacy.
"It was a platonic love" — Marth denies sexual contact.
"She made me a better person" — Marth reframes it as "growth".
"Anna is my sweetheart, and she forever will be" — Marth moralizes their relationship; he is not a predator, but the only person who really cares about her.
"I have no regrets" — Marth considers himself to be in the right despite what other people had told him.
In his 20th June 2018 YouTube video, "Celebrating 7 Years in Mount&Blade", he brings this up numerous times, and he seems genuinely convinced that it was "fate" that brought them together; they both come from abusive backgrounds, so obviously, fate had it they should bond over their shared trauma and fall in love. Bullies' opinions be damned.
Neither the community, nor Marth's own parents, approved. But he "never experienced something like that" — i.e. he fell in love — and it overrode everyone else's opinion.
Whether he is genuinely attracted to not fully developed juvenile women, or whether it was his lifetime of loneliness, or whether it was a simple friendship experienced through the lens of trauma, leading to an unusually high-intensity attachment that did not really have anything to do with love and attraction, Marth believed he was in love and was not doing anything wrong.
The trouble is, Marth is a high-intelligence, but low-insight individual; he has only ever used his cognitive horsepower (160IQ) for exploiting social systems, manufacturing narratives, flattering gullible admins, managing guilds, and wielding institutional power by proxy to punish perceived rivals. His entire mental framework exists to serve self-aggrandizement and the avoidance of genuine self-knowledge.
Marth does not introspect. Never has, and probably, never will.
Because of that, I do not believe he has ever named his own thoughts and feelings correctly. He may not be a pedophile, or he may be one; he may be a harmless loner seeking female validation, or a dangerous predator.
We do not know, and Marth is not likely to tell us.
What little introspection he did do, it was quickly shut down in favour of a comforting narrative that preserved his ego.
For example: "I was bullied and physically assaulted at 13," immediately gets shut down in favour of: "...but then I discovered my favourite game, and now I will walk you through my every single achievement within that game."
As regards his "Anna" e-relationship: "I never had friends, I was lonely, I wanted to end my own life," immediately gets shut down in favour of: "...and then I met Anna, the kindest creature alive, and we supported each other, and we were happily in love, and she will always be in my heart, and I have never been loved by anyone..."
The pattern is clear; some introspection when it cannot be avoided, then a comforting narrative to give meaning to his suffering, rationalize away criticism, and make himself feel self-righteous.
Every single time. Classic Marth.
2) Marth's Predatory Pattern of Behaviour
Now, there is something to be said about trauma bonding, and the fact that the relationship was always virtual, and (probably) never became anything, shall we say, "indecent". If that was the case, then perhaps Marth and "Anna" benefitted from their e-relationship and ought to be left alone.
BUT that is only my devil's advocate argument. It assumes good-faith engagement that Marth is not known for.
Here's why I don't believe it was a harmless "relationship":
Marth was later proven to demand "nudes" from underage female players, as well as sending his own intimate pictures to them. It was a long-lasting pattern of behaviour, documented independently by unrelated people.
Did he do that with Anna while he was 19 and she was 14? I do not know the answer to that question. But the precedent is there.
Allegedly, Marth once said to one of the female players (13 y/o) he met that, quote, "Children arouse me."
He was also known by the community as: "The nudes dealer of WFaS" somewhere between 2013(?)-2021(?). Allegedly, he would exploit his position of power — being a very skilled guild leader, co-leader, etc — to get into virtual relationships with underage women. It became a pattern, recognized by the unrelated communities Marth was a part of.
The allegations go on; he would send pictures of his penis and buttocks unprompted, blackmail nude pictures out of the recipients (e.g. "I will ban you from all servers if you don't send me your pics"), and then trade them with his male online friends. Friends which, presumably, come from a similar background as Marth, and whose material reality resembles his; lonely, unattractive, depressed, traumatized, incapable of empathy, financially unsuccessful.
Marth targeted especially traumatized women. According to one anonymous "victim", Marth had a protocol where he would ask for normal pictures first, then slowly escalate to "bolder" ones — after building rapport with them first, or offering to let them join his guild, etc. He was also described as predatory because he would find underage women who harmed themselves, then offer to "help" them by demanding pictures from them as "punishment."
You get the idea.
Marth's reputation starts to make sense in light of all this... What with being known as "the nudes dealer" coupled with this many allegations? No wonder the jokes about his fascination with underage girls refuse to die.
Even in February this year, his ancient Lazarus Order "Career Post" was vandalized by guest posters whose comments tell their own story:
"PLEASE DON'T FUCK ME AGAIN I'M 12" — Marth's Victim
"This side needs to be taken down. Pedophiles don't deserve this much attention" — 12yrold
"Marth is the guy that used to get the best kids for my island. Best pedo out there" — Jeffrey
Proof that Marth's reputation follows him everywhere he goes.
As of 2024, Marth never talked about his "Anna" relationship. Presumably, the relationship had ended a long time ago.
Marth was also very evasive, dismissive, or furious at any mention of his predatory tendencies when I met him two years ago; no rationalizations, no excuses, no politeness. Just open hostility and the weaponization of his social capital in order to punish "bullies" who harass him "for no reason".
Overall, there is enough convergent evidence to form a personal judgement that Marth did something illegal — soliciting explicit pictures from minors, which is illegal in his home country, even if the age of consent is 14. HOWEVER, there is not enough evidence to compel action from anyone with the authority to act. It is a frustrating position for anyone who would want Marth to face legal repercussions. Many hostile players attempted that, and reached out to Hungarian authorities with evidence, but no action was ever taken.
This gives Marth and the people he befriended plausible deniability — "If he did something illegal, you would report him and he would get arrested. But you didn't." Fallacious logic, but employed consistently against Marth's critics. Critics who KNOW the truth, but are powerless to do anything productive with it.

Enough to know the truth, but not enough to prove it to anyone.
3) Marth Catfished — Evidence of Predatory Tendency
On a couple of occasions, Marth was catfished by male players pretending to be a 13-15-year-old girl. Every time, he would fall right into the trap, sending his intimate pictures to what he believed to be a minor. He would then demand "nudes" back. If none came through, he would threaten to punish them in-game.
In light of this, he was commonly described as "deranged", or "retarded". This is also why the jokes about his fascination with underage girls would not die even as of 2026; he worked too hard to earn his reputation over the years. And falling for catfishes gave everyone involved undeniable proof.
When his relationship with Anna was only "platonic", Marth could play the victim of unfair bullying, e.g. "These bullies are terrorists! Bullying is a terror on my soul", etc. When he was exposed as someone dealing in nude photographs, he lost control of the narrative.
Marth erased his personal info from the Internet (apart from his in-game details and video game career posts.) This is not the behaviour of someone innocent being unfairly bullied.
He was always happy to show his face, his real name, his social media pages, and it never bothered him that his online communities knew who he was in real life.
But as soon as he got exposed, he tried to scrub his personal details off the face of the Internet — unlike an innocent person who would be outraged at false accusations, or indifferent if he considered the people spreading them "trolls" wanting to annoy him.
The Marth I met in 2024 moved on from rationalizing his unpopular relationship with Anna to personally attacking anyone who dared mention his past in his presence. And his personal attacks, as you know by now, involved discrediting and punishing the people who dared accuse him. Not with evidence, but with narratives and social alliances.
Personal Commentary
Theoretically, you could argue the catfishing was a lapse in judgement. Or that it was a loneliness-driven, impulsive mistake.
But when Marth started to research and share the age of consent laws in his country with his clan-mates? That's how you know he was not impulsive. He was planning IN ADVANCE how to justify his behaviour.
Someone with Marth's profile — volatile, exploding over video game outcomes — would react with vigorous denial and express anger and disgust. Instead, he ignores or dismisses it. He KNOWS responding to these allegations would draw more attention to something he can't afford scrutiny on.
Not the response of somebody who has been falsely accused.
And the strategic targeting of people he dislikes? The people who make these allegations, preserve and share evidence against him, express their disgust at Marth and his conduct?
That's Marth trying to regain control of the narrative; YOU are a bully and a racist. YOU have to defend yourself, laddie. And nobody cares what you have to say about me. No. I am accusing YOU of racism and harassment. I am the victim of bullying, and you are the most idiotic person I have ever met.
Marth in a nutshell.
And unfortunately, Marth's teacher training taught him how to construct narratives like that, and how to dominate every conversation he is a part of. It doesn't work on everyone, obviously. But it works on just enough people to let him accumulate power and authority.
And it certainly works on the students he teaches, their parents, his fellow colleagues, and the general public as a whole.
What concerns me most is that online spaces can teach people like Marth the wrong lesson, and that lesson can translate to real-life harm.
And no one will side with Marth's victims because he will control the narrative as the credentialed professor.
Voices like mine are unusual. Most teachers will side with their colleague, school administrations are notorious for prioritizing self-preservation over harm prevention, and the general public does not care until they are personally affected.
AND MARTH KNOWS THAT.
Final Analysis
Here's my final analysis of Marth:
- Marth suffers from a trauma-induced mental illness (not a medical diagnosis, personal observation,) and his emotional development is that of a teenager trapped in an adult's body. He is highly intelligent, self-aware, but incapable of regulating his emotions when it matters; when depressed or frustrated, he self-medicates with video games rather than face his reality.
- Self-awareness makes it worse, not better; he understands his position exactly, but has constructed entire narratives to give meaning to his suffering. While protective initially, and arguably saved his life back in 2011, it became maladaptive over time; because as an adult with possibilities and opportunities — even if limited — his previously manufactured narratives keep him stuck in the virtual world and no amount of reasoning can get to him. His own arguments have become too complicated and sophisticated to allow even the tiniest possibility of change. Criticism is perceived as bullying, politeness as weakness, and he only responds to perceived self-interest.
- Marth does not believe in change. He consciously explained to himself why his life turned out the way it did — bullies — and has resigned himself to his virtual life for good. Even if someone were to consciously reason with Marth, his traumatized brain (unconscious parts) will not trust logic and fall back on what it knows won't hurt him — online gaming. Marth's unconscious brain cannot be convinced with narratives.
- Marth has invested over 15 years on virtual rewards, alliances, and monuments to himself. He self-titled himself "the legend", "the hero", etc. His virtual life IS his real life now. Marth's daily reality — teaching at his school — is just something unpleasant he endures between his gaming sessions. His social life, achievements, etc all live inside of his computer. Abandoning them would feel like admitting he was wrong for the majority of his life, and his self-concept depends on always being in the right. Therefore, I think the sunk cost is another strong factor against him.
My prognosis is poor. Marth will NEVER turn his life around on his own. His material reality is stacked against him, and the kind of radical honesty required to face it and improve his life is scary to Marth. No, he will choose the delusion of virtual grandeur over what he perceives as a slim chance of real-life improvement.
The only way his life improves? An unlikely influence — something external — that forces him to face reality and act. Marth will NOT do this on his own. But it is important to recognize that most external forces won't work.
Losing the game won't work — he'll find another one. Getting banned won't work — he'll community-hop. Being mocked won't work — he'll metabolize it as confirmation of fame. Being confronted with evidence won't work — he'll construct a counter-narrative or dismiss it entirely.
Realistically, considering Marth's history and his own statements, a relationship is the only thing that could break through Marth's defences. Someone he trusts and respects; professionals will not help him. The relationship can be a romantic partner or a friend. But they cannot be an online friend — Marth discards those. It would need to be someone in his physical life — someone Marth respects, but who refuses to validate the structure. Someone who tells Marth when he is wrong, while simultaneously offering validation when earned.
The likelihood of such a person appearing in Marth's life is next to impossible. Marth's physical unattractiveness repels potential romantic partners, and if that weren't enough, his attitude toward human relationships is transactional, characterized by systemic manipulation, cruelty, and exploitation. Marth discards people he does not need, abuses those he considers beneath him, and flatters those who can give him something.
Not only is Marth undesirable, but he is also actively repulsive. This combination essentially renders him destined for eternal loneliness. And a lonely Marth's only escape is more video games.
Lastly, I have to mention Marth's job as a primary school teacher and access to children; if the allegations against him are true — and all evidence and Marth's own rationalizations suggest it could be — then his position of authority coupled with easy access to underage children are concerning, to say the least. Someone with Marth's profile — using power maliciously, selfishly, unselfconsciously — is a danger to those under him at his school.
I am not claiming he will do anything, but the risk is there. Allegedly, Hungarian authorities have already been notified about Marth, but refused to act on this information. Somebody who rationalizes relationships with minors, blackmails and hoards "nudes" from them, and then jokes about being surrounded by "hundreds of girls and women" every day, implying access to abundant sexual gratification?
That is not somebody you can leave alone and trust to keep his students safe.
Personal Commentary #2
My materialist framing is the core of this analysis.
Marth did NOT choose dysfunction from a menu of equally available options. He was bullied, suicidal, and isolated. His environment refused to provide him with safety, and he had no social support. The only environment that gave him a reason to live was gaming.
A common mistake "experts" make with regards to gaming is a misconceived assumption that gaming corrupts otherwise healthy people. Gaming has become something of a boogieman — a convenient scapegoat to mask over societal and institutional dysfunction.
The result is that institutions harm people, then blame the consequences on the individual.
Marth is a prime example. Gaming did not corrupt him; it caught a drowning teenager.
The problem is that his rescue became permanent residence, and the longer he stayed, the less capable he became of living anywhere else.
That, too, is a failure of institutions and society to provide Marth with safety and opportunities.
Marth is caught in a trap; society rejected him and nearly bullied him into suicide. His online communities gave him a reason to live, but due to their own systemic dysfunction, trapped Marth in an endless loop of toxicity, competition, and achievements. His real-life job pays him, but not enough to guarantee a life of safety and dignity. His virtual-life "career" gives him a sense of purpose and belonging, but at the cost of long-term growth.
This is not a cheap story of "video games are bad"; it's a story about what happens when material conditions push vulnerable people toward environments that provide short-term psychological survival at the cost of long-term stagnation. I.e. what happens when real life sucks, and the virtual one is the only one that doesn't.
This post will never be accepted by contemporary societies. It exposes too much. A much more comfortable narrative — "everything is fine and dandy, it's just those nasty video games" — prevails in society because it's easy. Not because it's true.
Ironically, the narrative reinforces Marth's trauma; the same society that nearly bullied him into suicide now blames his lifeboat for breaking him and becoming a "loser." If Marth were to listen and just cut gaming out of his life, he would without doubt face the same persecution he did at a vulnerable age. The only realistic result is not improvement, but another possibility of suicide.
Gaming is Marth's coping mechanism. He needs it just to function.
Now let's be brutally honest — more brutally honest than I have been in my entire post.
Consciously or unconsciously, Marth's formative experiences taught him that society wanted him to die. That it considered him unworthy of living and hoped he would commit suicide.
You can step back and say, "That's nonsense. Nobody wanted Marth to die. You can't blame society for the few people that bullied him."
But try saying that to Marth at the age 13. See if he listens.
You may know there is no global conspiracy to eliminate teenagers such as Marth. You may even have arguments and evidence.
But from Marth's unconscious POV, humanity hates individuals like him, and his lived experiences confirm it without a shadow of a doubt.
Marth's default attitude toward people — abusive, hateful, manipulative, etc — is not irrational if the previous proposition is true. If 99.9% of humans consider him unworthy of living, then from a pure survival POV, he is doing exactly what he should be doing; extract value from people, then discard them — the same way they would treat him had the roles been reversed.
Marth is simply a product of his own environment. He is reacting to what society taught him at a vulnerable age.
A very common counter-argument is that institutions exist to protect society, but sometimes fail individuals due to indifference or structural limitations.
How does that make the present situation any better? Marth is still traumatized, stuck in a bad material reality, and is being told by societal narratives that he is a failure.
Marth has mastered the art of narrative creation. He can turn them out like hot cakes. And this is precisely because he once had to rationalize why he is deserving of existence; his high intelligence coped with hostile societal narratives by inventing his own. This also explains why, on the surface, he performs mainstream beliefs — the opposite of what you would expect from a high IQ individual capable of original thought; he knows he needs to appear "normal" because originality proved dangerous once.
His original thought is channelled into in-game domination, social engineering, rigging maps, guild management, and manufacturing narratives online. It is not used to improve his real life because he feels unwanted by society.
This gets worse, not better.
NOTE FOR FUTURE READERS — Click to Read
Lastly, I want to touch on my attitude toward the whole concept and Marth as a person.
Pedophilia is considered a monstrous crime in the 21st century. It is historically unusual — child labour and slavery dominated for most of human history, and institutional pederasty was a fact in many societies worldwide.
I would not be surprised if pedophilia, child abuse, etc become normalized once more, and future readers find it odd that people like Marth face such societal backlash. So know this: in my day and age, modern societies — not all societies, but many — consider harm to children as worse than literal murder of adults. You can be a convicted killer, perform repentance, and be accepted back into society as a "reformed" man. But even a shadow of suspicion in relation to grooming will destroy your reputation for good. There is no forgiveness for child molesters, even though killers are sometimes allowed to reintegrate into society.
Even mass murder — like the atomic bombs in 1945 — will be forgiven much sooner than the act of molesting a child. That is literally the moral framework of modern societies.
I fully expect this moral certainty to be temporary. That once material conditions change at some point in the future, society will reinvent a new moral framework. But for the time being, child molesters are the most despicable humans possible, and few crimes come even close.
Now that you understand the context, you probably also understand my predicament as the writer of this post.
Society would have me condemn Marth and write a piece dismissing his past, refusing to analyze him objectively, and perform moral superiority here. By refusing to perform, I open myself to criticism and backlash. Objectivity does not serve the present narratives, and that is why it can be a dangerous stance to take.
However, this is a personal project, so I can afford that risk:
As a noninterventionist, I refuse to side with the same society that creates millions of Marths, then acts surprised when individuals like him turn predatory or hateful. His downfall was more than preventable.
At the same time, I refuse to side with Marth; he is just as wrong as the society that wronged him, and the amount of time and effort to help someone like him is, frankly, too much to justify it. Besides, Marth does not consider himself to be in the wrong. He has already decided there is nothing wrong with his actions or behaviour. You cannot help someone like that.
This analysis exists only to explain my reality. Ideologies are not welcome here.
Child molester or not, he deserves a proper objective analysis. And that's exactly what I delivered.
